The Center for Intensive Behavioral Supports (CIBS) hosts Regional Summits across the state to support school and district-level staff in understanding the appropriate conditions and use of restraint and time-out (RTO). Planned activities include a review of legal terminology relative to RTO, discussions of case scenarios highlighting the appropriate and inappropriate use of intensive interventions, and an opportunity to compare current school or district practices to those outlined in Illinois law. Additional highlights include related resources and training from CIBS targeting the reduction of RTO.

Participants are invited to attend individually or as a group. Group attendance is encouraged; however, it is not required. Attendees should bring a computer and have access to existing district policies and documents as references.

We look forward to the valuable expertise and networking each of you brings to the conversation. Please use the link below to sign up for the date and location that meets your needs.
